Very cool hint. The only problem I'm having is finding the Apple logo in the Character palette. Does anyone know where that lives?
Good hint. Is there any way to increase the size of the glyphs or to bold them? Some show up as really small or faint in the bookmarks bar.

I found it in there, obviously ;-). Check in the Misceallaneous or Dingbats areas, and set the font pop-up to Lucida Grande. You might also try the 'All Glyphs' (or something like that) tab..

You can otherwise use Option-Shift-K (if you're using a QWERTY).

Additionally the unicode for the apple logo is F8FF.
I like the hint, and I know I should be using Safari ;), but I'm not, yet. I
can't get the hint to work with IE - any idea whether it should?
Thanks

It seems to work, but with a limited set of characters. I think it's using Geneva, not Lucida - which I believe is non-Unicode, but I'm not certain.
All star slots coupon code. I couldn't get the Apple logo out of the character palette, but shift-option-K worked, oddly enough.

This only works with specific fonts? I'm not able to get this to work with Thingbat or other fonts. It just puts in the actual letter and not the dingbat.
I wasn't having much luck with this either until I selected the 'unicode Blocks' tab at the top of the Character Palette - then picked from those.
Does anyone know a way to get rid of all the foreign characters, etc that I will never use?

I just tried this out in Camino & it works. It doesn't look quite as nice, since the web page icon still shows up, but it does make the bookmark smaller.
I have recently started trialling Path Finder as a replacement for the finder (very happy so far) and when I tried this hint I discovered I can access both my hard drives from the drop down menu! Well cool. See the screenshot---

This is a great tip in general, thanks. I've been using items from the Character Palette to prefix iTunes Playlist names. 'Enclosed Alphanumerics' is cool.Remember - in a million years we'll all be dust, and none of this will matter
